At Dog's Tail, we put a great deal of emphasis on our Meet and Greets, which operate on a 24-point spectrum.
Our team is committed to providing a comprehensive and thorough evaluation of your pup to ensure they are comfortable and fit well into our daycare environment.
We understand that not all dogs may be immediately comfortable in social situations, and we provide opportunities for them to work on their anxieties and aggression through carefully managed interactions with our staff and other dogs. We believe in helping dogs overcome these challenges to enable them to experience the joy and benefits of playing and socializing with other dogs in an open play environment.
Our evaluations are designed to measure various factors, including your pup's interactions with people, response to handling, greeting new dogs, body language, and play energy. We observe closely to ensure that your furry friend is comfortable, happy, and engaging in safe play with other dogs.
We believe that open communication is essential during the Meet and Greet process and encourage Pet Parents to ask any questions they have. Our experienced staff members are more than happy to address your concerns and provide you with all the information you need to feel confident in leaving your pup in our care.
Our team is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for dogs that attend our daycare. We believe in building long-lasting relationships with our Pet Parents and provide open and transparent communication to ensure that they receive the highest standards of care and attention.
Prior to your visit you will be sent our Daycare Waiver. This can be filled out digitally or you can request a paper copy when you come in.
Vaccinations can be sent to Info@DogsTail.ca
When you arrive one of our Pack Leaders will take your pup into our introduction room.
This will test how your pup reacts to new people and stepping away from their pet parents.
It is normal for pups to be a bit nervous with this step.
Meet and Greets are generally performed in our Garden room.
This room is often calmer so it is a good introduction for them.
The pups are brought in and watched closely as they interact with the other dogs in the room.
Within the first 5 - 10 minutes most pups will start to explore and play with their new friends.
If your pup has pre- existing anxieties or are new to daycare they may be recommended into our Intro to Daycare program.
Many pups will have their first visit or two in Garden as they get used to our Pack Leaders and facility.
Then based on their play style they will be moved to the room that best fits their play style and needs
