At Dog's Tail, our Meet and Greets are a cornerstone of our approach, operating on a thorough 24-point spectrum. We prioritize a comprehensive evaluation of your pup to ensure their comfort and seamless integration into our daycare community. Recognizing that not all dogs may initially feel at ease in social settings, we facilitate opportunities for them to address anxieties and aggression through carefully managed interactions with our staff and other dogs.
During our evaluations, we assess various factors, including your pup's interactions with people, response to handling, greeting new dogs, body language, and play energy. Our attentive observation ensures your furry friend's comfort, happiness, and safe engagement with fellow dogs. We foster open communication throughout the Meet and Greet process, encouraging Pet Parents to ask any questions they may have. Our experienced staff members are readily available to address concerns and provide comprehensive information to instill confidence in leaving your pup in our care.

Meet and Greet Steps
Waivers and Vaccinations
Before your visit, we'll ensure all necessary paperwork is handled smoothly. Upon arrival at our facility, you'll receive our Daycare Waiver in advance, which can be conveniently filled out digitally or provided as a paper copy. This ensures a hassle-free check-in process, allowing you to focus on your pup's exciting day ahead.
We understand the importance of your pet's health and safety. We require up-to-date vaccination records to maintain a secure environment for all our furry guests. Meeting New People
Upon arrival, one of our experienced Pack Leaders will warmly welcome your furry companion, who will escort them to our dedicated introduction room. Here, we conduct a gentle assessment to gauge your pup's response to new people and the temporary separation from their pet parents. It's common for pups to feel apprehensive during this initial step, and our team is trained to handle this with care and understanding.
Our priority is to ensure that every dog feels safe and comfortable as they acclimate to their new environment. We guide your pup through this process with patience and reassurance, providing a supportive transition into our daycare community. Rest assured, our Pack Leaders are skilled at fostering trust and easing nervousness, setting the stage for a positive and enjoyable experience for your furry friend.
Meeting New Pups
Meet and Greets typically take place in our serene Garden room, providing a tranquil setting for your pup's introduction to our daycare environment. This tranquil atmosphere helps ease any initial apprehensions your furry friend may have, creating a comfortable space for their first interactions.
Under the watchful eye of our attentive staff, your pup is carefully introduced to their new canine companions. Within the first 5 to 10 minutes, many pups begin to feel at ease, exploring and engaging in play with their newfound friends.
For pups with pre-existing anxieties or those new to daycare, we may recommend our specialized Intro to Daycare program. Tailored to their needs, this program offers a gradual introduction to the daycare setting, allowing them to acclimate at their own pace and build confidence over time.
Find your Play Room
For many pups, their first one or two visits will take place in our Garden room, where they can gradually become acquainted with our Pack Leaders and the daycare environment. This initial period allows them to feel more at ease as they adjust to the new surroundings and interactions.
Following these introductory visits, we carefully observe each pup's play style and behaviour to determine the best room suited to their needs. Whether they thrive in high-energy play or prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, we strive to accommodate their preferences to ensure they have the most enjoyable experience possible. By tailoring their environment to match their unique play style, we create a setting where every pup can flourish and have fun with their furry friends.
